Musical Journey
Here I am finally writing about something without which I would cease to exist – Music. I can’t remember a time till now when music was not present in my life. Listening to songs has always been a daily part of my life just like eating or sleeping. I still remember going to sleep as a child listening to soft English music dad used to play on the stereo. In my younger years my choice of music was highly influenced by the likes of my elder sister. But as time went on I started developing a taste for different types of music on my own. Film music has always been top in the list, though that never is an indication that I dislike carnatic music. Getting trained in classical music is still my unfulfilled desire. Melody has been my favorite and I tend to be easily taken away by the pathos songs. Peppy numbers do find their way to my list of favorites when the beats and rhythms are soulful. Through the blogs under this label, I would like to share some of my favorite songs, their lyrics, singers and my opinions.
Krishnagudiyil…. – Kaathirupu….
I heard the song playing on tv, then realized I did not have the song with me. So I set out to search the song online. I did get it, but then next was my hunt for its lyrics. But I was not successful this time and couldn’t find any convincing webpage for the same. So listened to the song over and over again typed down the lyrics as much as I could grasp and went on singing for the rest of the day! I will share the lyrics and the original song here.
Kaathirupu kanmani...(2)
orangathe manamodhe, niramarna ninavodhe
mohadram yee man thoniyil
Kaathirupu mohamayi...(2)
adhangathe kadal pole
sharal kala mugyil pole
yengantham yee poo chipiyil..
paadi manam nondu paadii
palkootil yedho pagal kokilam
kaathin viral thumbu chaarti
adhil nenjil yedho azhal chandanam
oru kayitiri nazhalum ayi
oru swandhwanam gaanamum ayi
venilla shalabhame poorumoo nee
Kaathirupu mohamayi...
Kaathirupu kanmani....
ravin nizhal vinna konil
pookam thodangi neer madalam
thaane thulumbum kinnavil
tharathu moozhi pular tarakam
oru poo thalir ambili ayi
idhal meerthum oru ormagalyil
lolamayi hridhyame porumoo nee
Kaathirupu kanmani...(2)
orangathe manamodhe, niramarna ninavodhe
mohadram yee man thoniyil
Kaathirupu mohamayi...(2)
adhangathe kadal pole
sharal kala mugyil pole
yengantham yee poo chirpiyil..
Kaathirupu kanmani...(2)

It reflects the perfect breeding u got at home and the effect of soceity on u. Good work my dear.
